Never Had Thai Massage Before?

For the novice who may never have had the experience, here's the protocol used by many massage therapist today. Hopefully this will answer some of your questions about what therapeutic Thai massage is.

When you come into our office, our therapist will have you fill out an intake form, similar to the one you fill out at any doctors office. Then your therapist will direct you to a treatment room where you spend time with discussing your reasons for wanting a massage and what techniques they may use to help you with any specific medical problems you may want to address during the massage. The therapist will leave the room while you undress and lay on the massage table/mat face down with a drape covering your body. For Thai Massage session, we will provide loosing clothing for you or you are welcome to bring your own. Traditional Thai bodywork is strictly non-sexual. Under extenuating  circumstances, either party reserves the right to immediately terminate the session.

How we do...

First the therapist will clean your feet and apply the pressure on your foot, ankle using the same manipulations on each limb. Then moving on to each leg, working the muscle, joints, and tendons. Thai massage is no oil and cream use. The therapist will continue the session with working the muscles and your energy lines which call Zen, kneading on the back, neck, and shoulder blade area. Combining with yoga like stretch then turn you over face up and start work on legs, arms, head and completely with stretching. The therapist will make you sit down and bend you forward. You are completely sit, the therapist will work on the muscle groups in your neck, shoulder and finish with stretching. You will get full body massage with gentle stretching that called "lazy man yoga". This is wonderful feeling, with dramatic results. Thai massage will make you feel like a new person that is why Client says Thai massage is akin to doing yoga without doing any of the strain or work. Try it for yourself.

Namaste
